Peacefully after a very courageous battle of cancer at the Trillium Health Partners – Credit Valley on Sunday June 11, 2017. Surrounded by her family, Irma returned into the loving arms of her dearly missed husband Rino (2005)

Irma is survived by her two sisters in Italy; Idelgonda & Parisida and brother in law Mario DiDone, Cousins Mario (Erminia), Guilia ,Maria (Dario) predeceased by her parents Arturo & Amelia Bernardi, sisters Solidea, Speranza, Giuseppina and brother Antonio and brother in laws Alessandro, Antonio & Odo.
Irma is survived by her husband's family here in Canada; Laura Cordovado predeceased Nino, Maria Rinaldo predeceased Pasquale, Antonia and her husband Danilo Lenarduzzi, Amabile Perozzo predeceased by Narciso, Ginetta Perozzo predeceased by Iseo, and predeceased by sister in law Alida Perozzo
Will be sadly missed my many nieces, and nephews in Canada, Italy, France and Switzerland, along with so many friends, especially Teresa & Joe, Dick & Tina from the cottage, who always looked after her when she was up and Paul who always was given a little task when he visited her. Her dear friends, Elda & Guisto, Giovanna, Teresina, Rosina. Stella & Tony. She loved all her friends very dearly and was so happy to be with everyone.
Thank you to her family doctor Dr. June Thomson, for 45 years took care of her, Dr. Fran Cousins, only a year you looked after her but, she just loved and you were always very kind to her. Dr. Anthony Braid (radiation oncologist) Dr. Katherine Enright (medical oncologist) All the staff and the Carlo Fidani Cancer Centre, there are too many of you who were so kind and compassionate to her at each and every visit. The staff of the emergency department, never asking us to clear the busy halls when she came into the hospital. The oncology palliative unit of OA. Your compassion in taking care of her in her final day was beyond any words. You treated her as she was your own family. YOU are all truly angels.
