Obituary for Marion Harrison

Marion Harrison
Marion was born on November 17 1914 in Arnprior, Ontario.
She, her parents and her six siblings moved to the small northern Ontario town of Smooth Rock Falls when she was a child.
After completing high school, Marion moved to the big city of Toronto in 1932 to attend nursing school. She graduated from St Michael's Hospital School of Nursing in 1935, however jobs were scarce, so Marion was forced to move back to Smooth Rock Falls.
In the late 1930's Marion moved back to Toronto where she met Bob and together they built what would be her home on Tecumseh Park Drive for over 70 years.
In 1947 Marion and Bob welcomed Robert into the world, and 7 years later Mark completed the family.
While raising her boys, Marion worked as a nurse at Queensway General Hospital where she was the perfect combination of hardworking, dedicated and compassionate.
She retired from the world of nursing in 1980 and went on to excel in her next role as Grandma. Rob and his wife Pat gave Marion her 1st and 2nd grandchildren, Amy & Josh. A few years later, Mark and his wife Ruth had Matthew, followed by Kate and finally Michael. Marion was the epitome of a "Norman Rockwell" grandma and was delighted when just over a year ago, Josh and his wife Jenn had baby Carson. Her first great grandchild.
Marion lived on her own until she was 92. She then moved to The Wenleigh long term care facility where she lived until her passing at age 102.
