In the wee hours of September 13, 2017 we lost our Grand Dame.
Madelyn Augusta Sargent (nee Gilgour), in her 100th year, passed away as she had lived her life, peacefully, with grace and dignity.
Her final years were spent enjoying the Life of Riley, being cared for lovingly by her daughters, Helen and Harriett. Madelyn enjoyed their many road trips, visits with her family, the cottage and anything sweet that was handed to her.
She bestowed on her family kindness, caring and a great sense of humour. Her professional life saw her as a nursing home worker and a child care provider. Madelyn enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano, canoe rides and shoes.
Madelyn will always be in the hearts of her 4 children; James (Liz), Harriett, Helen & Norma. She is predeceased by her Mother, Gertrude and her brother Stewart.
Gramma is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Sean, Robbie; Stephen, Phil; Tracy, Mark (Stefani), Leslie (Ron), Trevor, Lisa (Chris) She will be dearly missed by her Great Grandchildren; Liberty; Christine, James, Claudia; Jade, Brianna; Lisa, Melaney, Simone, Nadya; Kyle, Connor; Jacob, Sam, Braedon, Rhys, Kherington; Travis, Tristen; Ryan and Rowan.
