Condolence From: John Coxon
Condolence: Dear Theresa, Matt, Katie and Alex: I'm sending my belated but heartfelt sympathy for your tragic and shocking loss. Steve is gone from your lives way before his time. He was a tower of strength, physically of course, but also in his passion for life and love of family. And everyone knows he loved soccer too! I remember well how he came into my life in 1993 in the early days of the formation of the Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club, and I am certain that without his energy and passionate support, the success of the club would have been much diminished. From our many late-night telephone chats in more recent years, I can attest to you – Matt, Katie and Alex – how very proud your father was of the achievements of all three of you – in your different ways. I grieve for you, and for you also Theresa, as you try to go on with your lives without Steve. He will be remembered always and sorely missed.

Condolence From: Bryan Thurtell
Condolence: Sending our love and deepest condolences to you all at this most difficult time. Steve was such a genuine person - a little rough around the edges maybe (in the best way), but so loving and caring. He taught me from seeing his relationship with his kids that it's possible to be a Dad and a friend (though not always in the same moment). He was always interested in what was going on with other people, how they were doing and what was new in their life. If he was on the phone with Matt and I was nearby, it could be guaranteed I'd have the phone passed my way, "It's Steve, he wants to talk to you". He'd ask what was new, give me the gears about this or that, and we'd just chat. He will be missed dearly but never forgotten. With love, Bryan, Katie, Bennett, and Theodore

Condolence: It was with great sadness and sense of loss that I learnt of my friend Steve's passing. Over the many years we have known each other he was a true friend and we enjoyed slagging each other over soccer, having a pint and a laugh. I will miss those Saturday morning calls after the EPL games that Liverpool played. I am sorry that I cannot be with you over the next few days to celebrate his life and grieve his passing. Hudson, your service will be opposite the park where you spent so many years playing football with your friends you will be missed by us all. On Saturday I will be a Liverpool fan. Theresa, Matt, Katie, Alex, Paul and John my sincere condolences for the loss of your Husband, Father and Brother he will never walk alone and thank you for the good times.

Condolence From: Henry Mohlmann
Condolence: Hi Steve, In life we sometimes forget to express ourselves to one another. Not as though you ever had a problem with that. Unfortunately I have. With your passing I have had a chance to reflect over the years of knowing you and being part of the Hudson family. I wanted to thank you and your brothers for accepting me into your family over 38 years ago. Your fun loving nature, your antics, your candidness and your love for family, friends and sports has left a mark on me. I am envious that I do not have any brothers of my own but you filled that void and included me. I want you to know that you meant a lot to me and you are often in my thoughts. I offer my support to your family and will miss you brother. Go Habs, Go Liverpool!

Condolence From: Sabrina Woodstock
Condolence: Theresa, Katie, Alex & Matt, I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Steve. I have never met anyone who could light up a room like he could, who could start up a conversation with anyone and create an instant bond, or who loved and idolized his family as much as he did. I am grateful to have known Steve over these past couple of years and how quickly he made me feel like a Hudson. He will be forever loved and missed. My heart goes out to all off you and I pray you find peace in all the great memories you have of his beautiful life. With Heartfelt Sympathies, Sabrina xoxo
