Obituary for Elaine Dinneen

Elaine Dinneen
Elaine Dinneen, daughter of the late Austin Dinneen and the late Margaret (Peggy) Dinneen, passed away peacefully on December 30th, 2017 surrounded by her family at Ian Anderson House Hospice, Oakville, Ontario in her 67th year. She is survived by brother Jerome (Donna) Dinneen, Alliston, Patrick (Jane) Dinneen, Edmonton, Kathleen Dinneen, Calgary, Kevin (Joyce) Dinneen, Mount Forest, Ambrose Dinneen, Vancouver and Rita (Rick) Kelly, London: nephews Mat (Ella) Dinneen, Mark (Ramona) Dinneen, Marty (Meghan) Dinneen: nieces Morgan (Noah) Marconi, Meaghan and Paige Dinneen, and numerous great nieces and one great nephew. Elaine was predeceased by her sister, Carol Ann Dinneen.

Elaine had various interesting and fulfilling careers in the Stock Brokerage Industry, Property Management and English Language Education. Her lifelong interest in photography spilled over into a career in this area as well. Always looking for opportunities to advance her education and knowledge, she acquired two university degrees and many designations and accreditations.

Adventure was one of the main drivers behind Elaine's exciting personal and professional life. Traveling and working abroad brought her to Ireland, England and Korea to name a few. But her heart was in Ireland for so much of her life, forging strong lifelong bonds with Irish family and friends not only in Ireland but in England and the United States.

Elaine's passion for sports such as baseball, volleyball and golf, could only be rivalled by her passion for politics.
She will be remembered for her many wonderful attributes but Elaine will be most remembered for her kindness, generosity and her "wicked" sense of humour.

Special thanks to the caring staff of Trillium Health Partners Oncology Clinic, Medical Oncology Floor and Dr Hung and his team. An especially heartfelt thanks to Dr Gapski and his team for the years of care and support.

Viewing will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home, Port Credit, Ontario from 1 PM to 4 PM. Funeral mass will take place at St. Mary Star of the Sea, Port Credit, Ontario on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 AM with reception to follow. Please note: all services must be perfume and scent free. Internment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kenilworth, Ontario at a later date.
