Memories of Mary Ann
The last time I saw Mary Ann she asked me for memories. Below is a copy of the email I sent her:
Hey Mary Ann,
Here are some of my memories:
- I remember lots of runs with you where we ran along and chatted away about everything under the sun.
-I remember the day you brought Casper home. What a sweet little guy he was. And I remember when you brought skippy home. He was so young and exuberant compared to Casper. I loved them both. They were so lucky to become part of your life. You gave them the best life ever.
- I remember climbing the grouse grind with you and your long legs easily carrying you over the boulders that I had to scramble up.
- I remember you being at my millennium party. You always added sparkle and gorgeous fashion to any occasion.
- I remember that you always made me feel good about myself every single time I saw you. You always mentioned how good I looked or my outfit. It meant a lot to me.
- I remember how you always looked gorgeous. You have such a flair for fashion and everything looks great on you. You even looked super cute the other day in your little ball cap.
- I remember our long chats. We could talk about anything and we shared so many good times, frustrating times and emotional times. I always felt better after our chats.
- I remember buying clothes from you at your sample sales. Oh my gosh. I had so much fun! I loved how you got me to try things on and made me feel so great about how I looked in everything.
- I remember the night I stayed over and there was an arsonist in your alley. Now that was an exciting evening!
- I remember how you always knew everything happening with all the neighbors and you would fill me in on what was going on. You knew everybody!
- I remember the weekend we all went to Thetis island for a kayaking symposium. What a fun adventure!
- I remember how caring you always are. You were always doing something lovely for someone.
Wherever you were Mary Ann, you brought sparkle, energy and life to the event.
I love you,
Val
