Condolences

Condolence From: Joanne McAlpine
Condolence: My sincere sympathy to the family losing their mother, sister, daughter and aunt so prematurely. Lauren's dad and I were first cousins but I never really got to know Lauren probably due to geography more than anything else. From the condolences posted I have a better sense of her and wish her and her loved ones peace.

Condolence From: Patti-Ann Finlay-Lawrence
Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Mrs. (Patricia) McAlpine, Spencer, Braydon, Madisyn, Kylar, Bruce, Lori, Brian, and Kathy

We have known the McAlpine Family for many years and share family histories (dating back to Cobalt, Ontario) as well as Port Credit memories of baseball, church youth club, skating, middle and high school. Lauren was always family-oriented and kind – excessively kind! – to everyone she met. I used to refer to her as Mother Teresa.

I recall going to her place in North Oakville several times to visit. Lauren was almost always in the kitchen or doing something for one of her four children. She cared for a busy household that for most of us would be overwhelming, but she did it with calm and aplomb. I admired Lauren then and still today when I think of all she did.

The world is a darker place without this sweet lady.
