Life Story for William Frank "Bill" Murphy

On Sunday November 4th, 2018 at approximately 6:15am our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather William (Bill) Murphy after a multi-year long battle with his health and a month+ long stay in Mississauga Trillium hospital, finally found peace while holding his wife's hand. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by wife Elaine Murphy(nee:Tunney), son Paul Murphy, daughter Patricia(Trish)Murphy, grandson Ryan Murphy, sister Patricia(Pat)Murphy, brothers Mike Murphy(wife Phyllis) and John Murphy(wife Lynne) , and many nieces and nephews all of which i wish i could name here.

In his youth he attended school at Lakeshore collegiate. He started his first job working at the Toronto Stock Exchange, moved on to a 25 year career with Zurich Insurance after which he took an early retirement. Boredom got the better of him and he went back to work at the TSE for a short time before taking a job at CGI(where his wife also worked) to finish his working days.

He was a well respected member of the Faustina hockey club for 37 years where he wore many hats ranging from coach to equipment room to club President. He also played hockey there as a kid.

If we base how rich we are, by how many friends we have, then Bill was a Billionaire. He was always there for his family and friends and his loss will be greatly felt by all.
