Obituary for Kathleen Quinn

Kathleen  Quinn
Enfolded in the arms of the Blessed Virgin, Kathleen (Kay) Quinn (nee McMullen) aged 92, slipped gracefully into the Love of her Saviour on Monday, December 28, 2009.
Native to Belfast, N. Ireland; Kay enjoyed many industrious, fruitful and happy years in service to family, Church, friends and community. She is predeceased by her husband Charles John (Jack) and infant son Gerard. Kay’s passing is mourned by her children; Kevin (Kathy) of Owen Sound, Patricia of Port Dover, Martin (Jane) of Estaire, Rosaleen (Fred Guidolin) of Delhi, Kitti (Gary Matthews) of Whitby, Christopher of Oshawa, Donna Quinn (Rick Martin) of Oshawa, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Kay’s beloved siblings May, Rita, Alice and John will be awaiting her. Kay is survived by sisters Rosaleen and Gertrude of Belfast. Kay also leaves a large number of nieces, nephews and their families around the world.
A devout Catholic woman filled with faith and hope, Kay blessed all she met with charity, kindness and cheer. Kay’s faith was a guide and solace which brought a peaceful death, blessed by the holy sacraments and surrounded by love. Kay will be greatly missed and her passing is mourned by all.
Visitation on Sunday, January 3, between 2 & 5 at Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home; interment St. Mary’s cemetery, Port Credit. A Funeral Mass will be prayed on Monday, January 4 at 11am in St. Christopher’s Church, Clarkson.
