James John Kelly passed away on the 2nd of August 2016 at the age of 61 surrounded by his family. Jim was born on the 18th of June 1955 to parents John and Jean (Allin) Kelly of Mississauga. Jim had a distinguished career with the Canadian Armed Forces. He joined in 1978, pursuing his love for the military life in the Airborne Regiment. He served tours in Cyprus and Afghanistan. He finished his career as an Avionics Technician at CFB Borden with the 400 Squadron. He married his wife Christine (Brown) in 1983 and together they raised their two daughters Alyssa and Alaina and their son Gavin. Jim was a beloved son of John (Mary) and brother of Nancy (Carl), Bill (Rone), and Mike. He is predeceased by his mother Jean and his brothers Bob (Jeannie) and Paul (Tanna). Jim also had a loving extended family in Scotland. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie for all that they have done. Jim will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
