I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Brian during the halcyon days of Amdahl in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was a sharp executive, a great advocate for his customers and always great company -- bright, funny, humane. When I last saw him about ten years ago at a technology event, he hadn't changed -- other than a little less hair like the rest of us. He will be missed by many, but none more so than his family.
