Peacefully surrounded by her family at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Adelmo. Loving mother of Liliana & her husband Raffaele Incerto. Loving grandmother of Jason & the late James (1998). Dear sister of Adele Canonico, & the late Anna De Sante, late Guiseppe La Torre & late Louisa Marchefani.

Assunta was able to stay in the home she loved since 1962 with the help of her daughter and complete dedication & love of her son in law Raffaele Incerto who strived each day to give her a good quality of life. Xena her Jack Russell and constant companion brought her great joy. Xena shows signs of missing her. We are grateful to have had Assunta in our lives for so many years.


Mrs. La Torre is resting at Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd. Funeral Home 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. (1 block west of Hurontario St.) Mississauga on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 2340 Hurontario St. Mississauga on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
